2014 was such a busy year. Some good, some not so good, but through it all we definitely had plenty of fun! I didn't get around to blogging as much as I would have liked, but I was able to capture a lot of it in photos. So here it is...our 2014 year in review.
Winter
| Our first attempt at an ice bunting. |
| Jack and Daddy made a pirate ship snow fort, then used the fallen ice from the ice bunting for treasure :) |
| Jack points out the ship's plank. |
| Testing out his new digger from Santa |
| Backyard sledding |
| There goes Sammy! |
| Jack paints the snow. |
| Our new friend |
| If you look closely, you can see our ice marbles on the front steps. One of many frozen water projects that winter! |
| Jack pans for gold at Pow Science. |
| Sam helped his big brother find more treasures. |
| Creating our ice wreaths, yet another ice project. |
| The final product |
| Tandem haircuts from Daddy |
| Love this hat that was knit for Baby Sam by a coworker. |
| Jack was scared by a show he was watching; his solution was to cover both eyes with pirate eye patches. |
| Sam takes a sled ride at the Waldorf School. |
| Jack on the swing at the school. We were the only family to brave the cold on the playground this day! Brr. |
Spring
| 2004, 2007, 2013 Red Sox World Series trophies at the Westerly Library |
| Sam is clearly a Tigers fan. |
| Springfest at Misquamicut Beach |
| Just like Disney! Or not... |
| Jack and Daddy love roller coasters! |
| Jack reminds the construction crew to use caution. |
| One of the perks of getting a new septic system: learning to drive an excavator. |
| Sam did some excavating of his own. |
Summer
| Jack's first of many carousel rides this season. |
| Sam waves hello to Jack. |
| Waiting for Jack's turn. |
| Watching the trees being trimmed at Wilcox Park. |

| Jack fills his bucket to make a moat. |
| The boys love the exhibits at the Kettle Pond nature center. |

| Sam's last day as a 1-yr-old, spent blowing bubbles! |
| Mud puddle fun |
| Our new favorite playground |
| Waiting for our friends to arrive. |
| This kid could swing all day, every day. |
| Seriously, this playground is the best. |
| Jack's favorite hideaway at the Mystic Aquarium. |
Fall (and winter again)

| Wings over Westerly |
| I mustache you a question. |
| A warm December day at Misquamicut Beach |

And there you have it, our 2014 in a nutshell. Unfortunately, I lost some great photos when I lost my phone, but there are plenty of memories to make up for it. Looking forward to seeing what 2015 has in store, hope to carry on our family traditions while also creating new adventures. Happy New Year to all!
