Jack is Four!

On August 31, 2014, my goofy, creative, whip-smart BIG boy Jack turned four! We were lucky to have Jack's birthday fall on the weekend, just like Sam's had, so we had another day of family fun celebrating our birthday boy. Jack started his day by opening the gift that Sam had chosen just for Jack, a Playmobil pirate ship. Then Jack followed his usual Sunday morning routine and went to breakfast with Daddy, Sam, Old Grandpa, and Grandpa Bob. Jack opened his gifts from Marc and I after breakfast, and then we had another yummy, but extra unattractive, cake...this time vanilla with vanilla frosting, per Jack's request of course. Jack had so much fun with his birthday gifts, and played with them all day, but nothing could top his excitement about his new bike. He's still using the training wheels, but it's such a joy to watch him zip around the neighborhood on it. It came with a little bell, that he can't stop dinging. Not sure how the neighbors feel about this, but he couldn't be more thrilled!

We spent our afternoon/evening at Jack's chosen birthday destination...a Connecticut Tigers baseball game. We hadn't been to a game all season, and it was their 2nd to last game, so it worked out perfectly. The predicted rain even held off until the end, it couldn't have worked out better. Jack's cousins, Kody and Kasey, and his Uncle Kris also joined us, and a good time was had by all.

Happiest 4th birthday wishes to my first baby. I couldn't be more proud to be your mommy. Daddy, Sammy, and I love you to Neptune and back!
